Baylor defeated No. 16 Texas A&M 76-74 in overtime on Saturday afternoon.

Anthony Jones' layup with 3.1 seconds left in the extra session lifted the Bears over the Aggies.

"Early in the year, in crunch time, we would lose," Baylor coach Scott Drew said. "I think we're getting better in operating in crunch time. I just really liked the fight our guys had today."

It was the first overtime game between these teams since a 116-110 win by Baylor in five overtimes in 2008.

The victory snapped a three-game road losing streak for Baylor and was Texas A&M's fourth loss in five games.

Jordan Hamilton scored 20 points to help No. 3 Texas to their first victory in College Station since 2004.

The Longhorns thrashed No. 16 Texas A&M 69-49 on Monday night.

The Longhorns are still looking for more on defense despite the strong performance.

"We can still get better," guard Dogus Balbay said. "We still make mistakes. We've got to eliminate those. We can always get better on defense."
